Adam Brody Interview, In The Land of Women
MoviesOnline recently sat down with Adam Brody at the Los Angeles press day to promote his new film, In the Land of Women, written and directed by Jonathan Kasdan in his feature debut. Brody plays a young television writer whose world is in complete disorder after his break-up with his girlfriend. In the Land of Women is a glimpse inside a female-centric world from a young man's perspective.Adam Brody explains, "It's a really positive movie that's in love with life, in love with people, and in the end, appreciates the everyday moments of life. It's about relationships and love, and all those things intersecting." For as long as he could remember, Carter Webb (Adam Brody) had been falling in love with women. And for as long as he could remember, he'd been searching for the right one.
Be Productively Unproductive Online. Without Guilt.
Remember when it was okay to waste time online without being social? Remember what it was like before the web started paying the bills? When you're stressed, a complete disconnect from work and the world for a short amount of time can recharge your batteries and get you back on track. Usually, "taking a break" means standing up and walking away from the computer. That's always a good thing to do. But every once in a while, give yourself permission to take a break without walking away from the computer. Some tips to make the most of being useless and solo online. Rule #1: No guilt allowed. Web 2.0 is all about connecting with other people and their preferences through the social web. Sometimes all this effort to push what everyone else is thinking and doing into our faces can be overwhelming.
Diner Dash
Diner Dash is a casual gaming classic, available to try for free and costing a whopping $20 for the full version. This May, Eidos is bringing the game to PSP and DS for $10 more. You play as Flo, an executive driven to madness by the stresses of her job. Fleeing corporate America, she starts a restaurant. As Flo, you'll run the front end of a variety of restaurants, trying to make sure that you get customers in and out as happily as possible while dealing with a cute but pointless plot. I got some hands-on time with the PSP and DS versions at Eidos, and although I'm concerned about the prices, I'm looking forward to a chance to help Flo out on the go. Both versions capture the sharp cartoon style of Diner Dash. Charming is the best word for the look of the restaurants and clientele.
