Instead, Chrysler is developing new "Phoenix" high-output V6 engine to take the place of the Hemi. The engines will feature dual overhead cams, variable valve timing and cylinder deactivation. Ranging-topping variants are likely to surpass 300 HP, like its competitors, and provide better fuel economy than its Hemi counterpart. When it comes to actual vehicle platforms, General Motors is already taking steps to comply with the update CAFE. The company originally planned to resurrect the Pontiac GTO -- again -- using the same underpinnings as the upcoming Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac G8. Those plans are now shelved. "I think (the Monaro/Pontiac GTO) is gone for now," said GM's Bob Lutz. "We've got nothing in the product plan right now like that. We'd like to have, but you can't do everything." GM was to also build the next generation Chevy Impala using the same RWD platform.

You've gotta be careful when you install software nowadays - you install one thing and you end up with a couple of applications that you didn't expect to get. Welcome to the world of application bundling, and it seems that everyone is doing it nowadays. Over the past few years I've noticed a disturbing increase in app bundling. Sure, you've always had to keep an eye on the install process just to make sure that you weren't getting something you didn't bargain for, especially if you were dealing with less well-known vendors, but now it seems that there's no telling who might be bundling apps - free software or commercial, it seems that companies are looking for additional revenue streams. Take, for example, security software. Alex Eckelberry, president of Sunbelt Software, security expert and all round good guy, has been keeping an eye on the competition and has noticed a disturbing trend where security vendors are bundling the Ask toolbar with their security offerings.

Camaro Trumps Dodge Challenger
There is no V6 for the Camaro if it goes into production it has been announced. Currently they have two V8 Engines available- the 400hp and the performance engine 505hp (used in the current Corvette Z06) which would run against your SRT-8 Challenger with 425hp. Who would be in the winners circle now? I come from a different viewpoint than all of you at age 18 and everyone I have talked to in my generation except 1 has liked the Camaro more. Another point-if Ford has screwed everything up-why is the Mustang the only pony car that survived through and through? Personally I am saving up for the 2009 Camaro release date everyone should be excited for. .

The amount of venture capital spread across 3,813 deals represents the industry's busiest year since $40.6 billion went into nearly 4,500 U.S. startups in 2001, according to data scheduled for release today by Thomson Financial, PricewaterhouseCoopers and the National Venture Capital Association. The $29.4 billion invested last year marked an 11 percent increase from $26.6 billion in 2006.
