Like several other users, I'm going to be doing a feature for the ten games I'm looking forward to the most which are coming out this year (or hopefully, I know some might get delayed to next year). So, before I actually begin with my top ten I figured I'd do a list of ten honorable mentions of other games I'm curious to see and try out this year. Oh, and unlike my actual top ten, these honorable mentions aren't in any specific order of anticipation: MotorStorm 2: Sony's exclusive next-gen dirt racer from last year showed much promise but barely managed to utilize the potential it had. Outside of being a real visual treat with some semi-realism, Motorstorm proved to be a pretty basic racing game. But like all sequels, there's room for improvement, and the first Motorstorm did have a rushed feel.
5-medal day for Canada at SwimCup 2007
I didn't hear the start at all," said Pierse, who was preparing to stand on the starter's block when the signal went off. "So I probably lost about three-tenths of a second right there and a chance to go under 2:25. "But I was pleased with how I fixed up that mistake quickly in the race." In the 800 freestyle, Ionela Cozma of Romania took the gold in 8:38.44, Hunks followed in 8:43.53 and Rebecca Cooke of Britain was third in 8:46.46. .
Janet’s new album out in February
Remember that new album Atlantan Janet Jackson is working on here? According to Billboard.com, the follow up to the singer's 2006 "20 Y.O." will be out in February via Island Def Jam. The trade publication reports that the singer and actress also is prepping for a worldwide tour to coincide with the new disc. While the "Why Did I Get Married?" star recently hinted on Q100 that her boyfriend Jermaine Dupri will be helping out on the new studio project, the as-yet-unnamed album is being executive produced by Def Jam CEO and former Atlantan Antonio "L.A." Reid. Billboard reports that Dupri currently is busy working on fellow 1980s hitmaker Mariah Carey's new album, also due early next year. Explained Dupri in an interview with Billboard earlier this year: "We're going to make it seem like we're in competition to see who's going to have the biggest album of the year." At presstime Thursday, Buzz was managing to somehow suppress the urge to place a glass and our ear against a wall outside the couple's Atlanta residence so we could accurately report Miss Jackson's response to that.
Endorsing Ron Paul, and Why Progressive Dems Should Support Ron Paul
Ron Paul is my first choice for a Republican candidate. There. I've said it. Of all the Republicans, he's the one I think is the best. His positions on the constitution, on the war, on globalism on nation building and interventionism are ones I can get behind. He's not perfect, but he's far, far ahead of any other Republican in the race. This publisher of one of the top five progressive media sites (based on traffic stats from alexa.com) is endorsing Ron Paul for Republican presidential candidate. .
